Coexistence of Hyosung and Partners is Essential


 

Hyosung signed win-win growth agreements with 499 partners in 2014 in order to fulfill corporate social responsibility based on coexistence and win-win growth with partners. Since then, it has consistently reinforcing win-win growth activities such as improving the conditions for purchase amount payment, applying the standard subcontract agreement, and implementing the Industrial Innovation Movement 3.0 (pan-economic movement to expand win-win growth activities to secondary partners). Inviting the partner employees to the Changwon Plant on a tour is also one of the series of such activities. This opportunity enables Hyosung to listen attentively to what the partners have to say while the partners can better understand Hyosung’s products.

The tour event that invites partners of the Power & Industrial Systems PG took place for the fifth time this year on November 19 at the Changwon Plant 1 located in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do. The participants of the program thoroughly examined the plant and recorded details, consistently showing their serious and enthusiastic attitude throughout the entire tour.

The Power & Industrial Systems PG tour program for partners began when 12 partner companies all gathered together in the meeting room. There was an introduction of participants and a welcoming speech, followed by a PR video of Hyosung, review of win-win growth activities, and partners’ understanding of circuit breaker products. “We’re striving to achieve win-win growth with our partners,” said Changwon Plant 1 Purchasing Team Manager Cho Seong-rae. “This program is also prepared to help promote understanding of our partners. We would like to reflect on the effects and significance of win-win management with our partners through this program.” Announcing the intent of the program, Cho added that he hopes this opportunity acts as a venue for exchange of human resources among the partner companies.

The participants then had lunch at the VIP Cafeteria in the Changwon Plant 1, after which they began to have a tour of the plant from 1 PM. The plant tour was led by Hong Sae-bom of the Human Resources and General Affairs Team, starting with a tour of Plant 1, which is the GIS plant, and then a tour of Plant 4, the electric equipment plant. While examining the site where products are actually manufactured and listening to the explanation, the participants paid sharp attention to every single equipment of the plant and enthusiastically participated in the tour. The event ended in success with suggestions from the partner companies and discussion of their difficulties after the tour.

They say, “A hundred hearings aren't worth one seeing”. This means that one can only know precisely after experiencing it for himself. This is proved by the positive reviews given in unison by the partner companies that participated n this program. “I left Uiryeong-gun early this morning to come here, and I think it was definitely worth it to participate in this program,” said Section Chief Lee Woong-ryeol of Uiseong Technology,  as he reflected on the meaning of the program. “Seeing, observing and checking the site for myself, I would more precisely understand the general details of my work and our relationship with Hyosung. Now I’m happy to ponder over how to make the products and what efforts I should make to do better.”

SMEs take up 46% of all manufacturers in Korea, which makes cooperation more important between conglomerates and SMEs. Hyosung has made continuous efforts for coexistence while keeping pace with this reality, and as a result, helped increase sales of products by partner companies as well as the product supply of Hyosung, producing win-win effects that help each other. Hyosung will continue to make better products and future by communicating with the partners and solving the problems.
