On December 27, 2013, Hyosung held the awards ceremony for the 2013 Hyosung Employees of the Year Award, which is given to the employees who rendered the most distinguished services for the company in a year. Glorious Heroes that Brought Honor to Hyosung
First began in 1990 to encourage the talents who will lead the “topmost global leader” and “100-year company” Hyosung, the Hyosung Employees of the Year Award ceremony was held once again to honor the winners of 2013. Total 9 winners were selected for the 2013 Hyosung Employees of the Year: Hyosung R&C Center Executive Vice-President Lee Won who was the first in the world to commercialize polyketone, an innovative new material in the field of engineering plastic, along with key researchers Kim Heon-soo (Department Head), Jo Hae-seok (Deputy Department Head) and Shim Jae-yoon (Deputy Department Head); and Jeonju Carbon Fiber Plant Manager and Director Bang Yoon-hyeok who contributed greatly to successfully completing the construction of the plant and developing carbon fiber --- “the new dream material” --- along with key researchers Wang Young-soo (Department Head), Kim Seong-ryong (Department Head), Kim Byeong-han (Department Head), and Choi Jae-sik (Department Head). The winners received a total reward of 130 million won.
Hyosung Will Continue to Secure Future Growth Engines in 2014
Hyosung is carrying out the “People Innovation Project” of creating an organization with the world’s top-class competences through innovations in the organization, personnel system and corporate culture based on performance with the idea, “There is reward where there is performance.” The company reorganized the reward system and significantly increased the reward for the Hyosung Employee award in the beginning of 2013. Aside from the employee reward system, Hyosung also established the Outstanding Partner Award in 2013 for win-win growth with over 1,000 partner companies. This award is given to partners that contributed to the development of Hyosung Group’s production technology and innovation as well as cost reduction. This year, Daemyung Construction and Shinwon Industrial were selected as the winners, each of which received a reward of 20 million won.
