Lee S.: I used to be passive, but became active and enthusiastic. While making and answering calls to/from Planning Department and Management Departmentat PG/PU/offices, I have to think carefully and answer their questions. At this point, I need help from other team members. Due to such nature of my work, I became more active.
Yoon: Though I was a new employee, I set my mind to have ‘a sense of professionalism in order to become good at everything’. I got rid of the idea that others would understand and not blame me for a poor job performance because of me being a new employee.
Park: Regardless of what the job is, I try to find a certain meaning behind. When I first joined, I did work without thinking. But, my seniors continued to point out that I need to think about the purpose before doing any work and based on what I learned, I now think twice before I do my job.
Choi: I carry out my work with a full sense of responsibility. I realized that unlike in school, my smallest mistake can cause loss to the company.
Lee K.: I gained a sense of responsibility as a consequence of becoming ‘a member of Hyosung’. As I looked seniors practicing Hyosung Way, I set a new goal to ‘become a good member of Hyosung and therefore, make contributions to the growth of the company’.
Lee S.: I am in charge of personnel appointment notification/support/handling and HR status management in Personnel Management Team, Support Division. Though new personnel system was adopted this year, I completed OJT (On-Job Training) and gained a better understanding of my job.
Yoon: Management Innovation Team, Strategy Division searches an opportunity for more robust growth of the company from various angles and finds a solution to strategy-related issues that the management faced. Most of tasks are carried out on a per-project basis and I am now working on two projects - M&A and joint venture. These are projects related to discovering and launching new business.
Park: I am in charge of planning/managing the training programs. I'm running ‘Hyosung Team Leader Training’ program conducted by Hyosung HR Development. My job in this program involves general management of the program, creating video clip and hosting heart-touching events.
Choi: As a member of Financial Planning Team, Financial Division, I am responsible for delivery of funding into Textile, Industrial Materials and Chemicals PG. From large CIF to day-to-day expenses, all costs must pass through my hands in order to make payment.
Lee K.: I prepare meeting handout and presentation material (PACK) for the financial results briefing session in IR Team, Financial Division. I also check sales record of PG, related issues and distribution scheme and prepare shareholder meeting.
Lee S.: With my accountability as the ace in the hold, I handle my job. Based on requests from on-site workers, I check whether what I understood is right and what action must be taken.
Yoon: Because I need to develop my capabilities due to the nature of my work, Global Excellence came home to my heart. In order to map out growth strategies based on research of unexplored field and help top management make business-related decision, all members of Management Innovation Team need to be proactive and have an insight into markets and business as well. To ensure this end, it is important to not become complacent, but strive to improve oneself.
Park: Accountability is always of great assistant to me. Because, I think, it is something that one must have in order to enjoy the work.
Choi: I agree. No matter what the work is, one must have accountability to become interested in and thus, put better efforts into one’s job. One time, I gave PU a helping handto do something, which was nothing to do with me. I did so because I was accountable to that PU. The person who asked for help, thanked me later and that made me feel great.
Lee K.: To make work life happy, it is important to first create a better workplace through mutual respect and cooperation between members. In order to do so, members must have accountability to each other. Accountability is the value that we should pursue to handle work professionally and competently.
Lee S.: I’d like to emphasize a cooperative attitude. It is the attitude that all new employee must have to build a good working relationship with others and thus, get a good start on their job.
Yoon: It is important to follow the noble virtues of office worker - get to work earlier, say hello to team members with cheerful voice, take an active part in meetings in a forward-looking attitude and learn the office routine with much interest. Even I, myself try to follow those.
Park: An attitude to accept both compliment and advice as it is. To become a beloved team member, one must not feel bad after being scolded, but accept as advice and also, try to do better when getting a slap on the back.
Choi: What about talking nice? Once, I had help from my senior, more than expected because I first asked him to be excused and then asked for help. Don’t forget to put a smile on your face when asking someone for help. (Laughter)
Lee K.: It is important to sense what is needed. If you read what others think and learn their needs, you will be able to provide the help they want and thus, handle work without flaw.
Lee S.: First of all, I’d like to thank my team members for welcoming and helping me. I, especially, will never forget Deputy Section Chief Tak Jun-ho who taught me everything related to work. I’ll try my best become a Hyosung member demonstrating my abilities to the fullest.
Yoon: I’d like to thank team members, who taught me what I lacked at work and helped to improve myself. In particular, members whom I worked with - Department Head Choi Young-bum, Section Chief Seo Si-heon, Section Chief Shin Hyun-cheol, Deputy Section Chief Lee Jeong-min, Deputy Section Chief Gwak Sera and Kim Jong-gwan, gave me a chance to a better person. I’ll keep on trying my best and return the favor some time.
Park: I’d like to thank my senior partner, Choi Ye-gyeong who has taken good care of me. I also would like to thank those who noticed my mood-swings and lent a helping hand. Thank you all members of Hyosung HR Development Center full of positive energy. I love you all.
Choi: I’d like to first thank my team members who helped me adapt to the team. Especially Department Head Ok Sun-gwang! Thanks to your kindness and support, I’ve been as happy as I could be throughout this year. My senior partner, Jeong Jin-yong! I would not have been able to adapt to the team and learn the office routine, if it was not for you. I’ll improve further as a member of Hyosung next year.
Lee K.: Thank you all, Team Leader Lim Seok-ju for taking such good care of me despite your busy schedule, Section Chief Kim Byeong-woo who guided me through the my work life and gave me direction as my senior partner, Section Chief Gwan Ki-jun for looking through reports I made and answering to all my questions in details and Deputy Section Chief Shin Hyung-ho who have taken care of me like a real brother.
